Frequently  Asked  Questions

Everything you need to know about Fortis Foam active foam — from technical specs to partnership terms.

General

What is Fortis Foam? +
Fortis Foam is a Polish brand of professional active foam designed for car washes and detailing studios. We offer two products: Fortis Foam PRO (concentrate pH 13.8, working solution pH 11.7–12) for touchless car washes and Fortis Foam ECO (concentrate pH 10.5, working solution pH 8.3–8.5) for hand washing and detailing. Both products are biodegradable.
What is the difference between PRO and ECO? +
Fortis Foam PRO (concentrate pH 13.8) is a highly alkaline foam optimized for touchless car washes — it effectively removes heavy dirt without contact. Working solution pH is 12 (at 1:100) or 11.7 (at 1:200). Fortis Foam ECO (concentrate pH 10.5) is a gentle, biodegradable formula for hand washes and detailing, safe for ceramic coatings and PPF film. ECO working solution pH is 8.5 (at 1:100) or 8.3 (at 1:150).
Where can I buy Fortis Foam? +
Fortis Foam is available directly from the manufacturer. Contact us via the contact form or by phone to get a quote.
What package sizes do you offer? +
Fortis Foam is available in 5L, 10L, 20L (canisters), 200L (drum), and 1000L (IBC container) packages. For car washes, the most popular are 20L and 200L containers.
Do you offer product samples? +
Yes — we offer product samples for car wash operators and detailing studios. Contact us with information about your car wash, and we will send a sample of the appropriate product.

Fortis Foam PRO

Is Fortis Foam PRO safe for car paint? +
Yes, when used at the recommended dilution (1:100–1:200) and contact time up to 3 minutes, PRO is completely safe for all types of automotive paint. Although the concentrate pH is 13.8, the working solution has pH 12 (at 1:100) or 11.7 (at 1:200).
What dilution should I use for PRO in winter? +
In winter, we recommend a stronger dilution of 1:100 to effectively remove heavier dirt, road salt, and deposits. In summer, 1:200 is sufficient for standard dirt.
Is PRO suitable for hand car washes? +
PRO is optimized for touchless car washes. For hand washes and detailing, we recommend Fortis Foam ECO with its gentler concentrate pH of 10.5 (working solution pH 8.3–8.5).
How many cars can I wash with 1 liter of PRO concentrate? +
At 1:200 dilution, one liter of concentrate yields 200 liters of working solution, enough for approximately 65–100 cars depending on the dosing system.
How should I store Fortis Foam PRO? +
Store in original packaging at 5–30°C, away from direct sunlight. Shelf life: 36 months from production date.

Fortis Foam ECO

Is Fortis Foam ECO biodegradable? +
Yes, the ECO formula was developed with the environment in mind. All active ingredients are biodegradable in accordance with European standards.
Does ECO effectively clean cars? +
Yes, ECO effectively softens dirt before hand washing. The concentrate pH is 10.5, while the working solution has pH 8.5 (at 1:100) or 8.3 (at 1:150). It is optimized for detailing where paint gentleness matters.
Can I use ECO in a touchless car wash? +
ECO is primarily designed for hand washes and detailing. For touchless car washes, we recommend Fortis Foam PRO with its concentrate pH of 13.8 (working solution pH 12 at 1:100).
What dilution ratio should I use for ECO? +
Recommended dilution is 1:100–1:150. For detailing use 1:100 for stronger action, for hand washes 1:150 for economy.
Does ECO leave streaks? +
ECO's light formula rinses easily and leaves no streaks or marks, which is crucial in professional detailing.

Chemistry & Technology

What does active foam pH mean? +
pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of a solution. Alkaline foams (pH > 7) effectively dissolve fats and organic dirt. PRO has a concentrate pH of 13.8 (working solution pH 11.7–12), ECO has a concentrate pH of 10.5 (working solution pH 8.3–8.5). Higher pH = stronger cleaning action, but requires more caution.
Does alkaline foam damage seals and plastics? +
At proper dilution and contact time up to 3 minutes — no. Our formulas contain corrosion inhibitors that protect rubber seals, plastic parts, and aluminum wheels.
How does active foam work in a touchless car wash? +
Active foam is applied to the body under pressure, creating a thick layer that emulsifies dirt, grease, and contaminants. After a few minutes of contact, dirt is rinsed off with a high-pressure water stream — without physical contact with the paint.
Can I mix PRO and ECO? +
We do not recommend mixing products. PRO and ECO have different formulas optimized for different applications. Mixing may reduce the effectiveness of both products.
How does water hardness affect foam performance? +
Hard water (> 300 mg/l CaCO3) may reduce foam effectiveness. In such conditions, we recommend a stronger dilution or using a water softener. Our formulas contain chelates that partially compensate for water hardness.

Business & Partnerships

Do you offer wholesale discounts? +
Yes — we offer attractive pricing for wholesale orders (from 200L). The larger the order, the better the unit price. Contact us for a custom quote.
What is the order lead time? +
Standard orders are fulfilled in 2–5 business days. For regular customers with a framework agreement, we ensure delivery within 24–48 hours. IBC containers (1000L) may require longer lead times.
Do you offer private label products? +
Yes — we produce active foam under the customer's own brand (private label). Minimum order: 200L. We provide full support for label design and formula selection.
How to become a Fortis Foam distributor? +
We welcome companies in the automotive chemistry industry interested in distributing our products. We offer attractive margins, marketing support, and product training.
