When to measure pH:
- Incoming water — baseline pH affects how your active foam performs after dilution.
- Working solution — verify that the dilution ratio produces a pH within the product’s recommended range.
- Wastewater — discharge regulations typically require pH between 6.5 and 9.0 before water enters the sewer.
- Recycled water — in closed-loop systems, pH can drift as chemicals accumulate in recirculated water.
Maintenance tips:
- Calibrate with pH 4.0 and pH 7.0 buffer solutions before each use session.
- Store the electrode in storage solution (never dry or in distilled water).
- Replace the electrode annually or when response time slows noticeably.
